Other chart settings
Apart from setting chart types and timeframes a user may customize:
- Scale
- Chart auto scrolling to market
- Chart indent
- Chart grid
- Position, order and alert lines
- Ask and Bid prices
- Info panel
Scale
To increase/decrease price and time scales use the corresponding buttons in the “Chart main” toolbar. If there are additional areas, displaying technical indicators , vertical scaling is applied to the active area of a chart. Scaling of tick charts is unavailable.
To switch on/off price autoscale mode, do one of the following:
- Click “Chart auto price scale” button in the “Chart main” toolbar.
- If you want to switch on/off the price auto scale of an instrument, press “Chart auto price scale” after right-clicking in an instrument chart.
- If you want to switch on/off the price auto scale for the “Chart %” window, press “Autoscale [%]” after right-clicking in the “Chart %” window.
- If you want to switch on/off the price auto scale of an instrument chart, go to “Chart –> Chart auto price scale” in the menu bar.
- If you want to switch on/off the price auto scale of the “Chart %” window, go to “Chart % –> Autoscale [%]” in the menu bar.
Chart auto scrolling to market
To switch on/off the chart autoscroll mode, do one of the following:
- Press “Chart autoscroll to market” button in the “Chart main” toolbar.
- Press “Auto scroll to market” after right-clicking in an instrument chart window.
- Go to “Chart –> Auto scroll to market” in the menu bar.
The “Chart autoscroll to market” mode is only available for instrument charts. This mode is always on for tick charts.
Chart indent
To switch the mode, do one of the following:
- Press “Chart indent” button in the “Chart main” toolbar.
- Press “Indent” after right-clicking in an instrument chart window.
- Go to “Chart –> Indent” in the menu bar.
The mode is available only for instrument charts.
Chart grid
To switch chart grid, do one of the following:
- Press “Chart grid” button in the “Chart main” toolbar.
- Press “Show –> Grid” after right-clicking in a chart window.
- Go to “Chart –> Show –> Grid” in the menu bar (for instrument charts).
- Go to “Chart % –> Show –> Grid” in the menu bar (for Chart %).
Position, order and alert lines
A chart may display levels of open positions, orders and signals.
To switch on/off the level displaying, do one of the following:
- Right-click in a chart window and press “Show –> Position”, “Show –> Orders” and/or “Show –> Alerts”.
- Go to “Chart –> Show –> Position”, “Chart –> Show –> Orders” and/or “Chart –> Show –> Alerts” in the menu bar.
Ask and Bid prices
A tick chart may show one or two lines: bid and/or ask prices. At least one of these prices must be displayed. Bid price is displayed by default.
To switch on/off these lines, press “Show –> Bid Line” and/or “Show –> Ask Line” after right-clicking in a chart window.
Info panel
To switch on/off info panel, do one of the following:
- Right-click in a Chart % window and press “Show –> Info Panel”.
- Go to “Chart % –> Show –> Info Panel” in the menu bar.
Info panel is available only for Chart % windows.
