- F.A.Q.
As the result of your order a new position opens. Each position opens in units of the base currency (first currency in a quotation sign). If you open a position on one currency pair with the volume V1, and then open an additional position on the same currency pair with the volume V2 but in the opposite direction, then the result will depend on lock mode that was set while opening this position. The lock mode controls whether multiple orders on the same currency will be grouped together or exist separately.
If the Lock mode was not enabled, then during the opening of an additional position on the same currency (opposite directions), the volume V2 of the second position will be added to the V1 of the previously opened position and the position of sum volume (V1+V2=V3) will appear.
If Lock mode was set, then during the opening of an additional position on the same currency pair, a second position will be created and it will not be grouped with the first one.
You can set the Lock mode only at the moment of setting of an order. This mode will be active only at the moment of order execution and cannot be enabled or disabled once the position is created.
