Unlocking a position
Locking implies opening oppositely directed positions of the same instrument.
If locking is on, when opening a position of the opposite direction, the terminal will place a separate order.
If locking is off, when opening a position of the opposite direction, the terminal will change the volume of the existing position (the volumes of the first and second positions are added). The resulting position will be smaller in volume and will have the same direction as the largest former position.
Locking is set at opening of a new position. For unlocking existing positions (i.e. for turning them into a single position of accumulated volume) please:
- Select two opposite positions by pressing “Ctrl” in the “Open positions” tab.
- Click “Unlock positions” in the right-click menu.
Click the “Unlock” button in “Unlock positions”.
You will see a window showing the result of your request (“Trade Operation Result(s)” window). Click “OK” to close it.
