Operations for working with charts
Customizing charts
The terminal provides a number of modes and commands to customize charts.
The “Crosshair/Measurer” mode
When the mode is on, the terminal shows the corresponding quote/indicator and time as a user drags the cursor over some chart point. Pressing the left mouse button and holding it when dragging allows a user to know the distance in time and price between two points.
To switch on/off the mode, do one of the following:
- Press the “Crosshair/Measurer” button in the “Chart instruments” toolbar.
- Right-click in a chart window and press “Crosshair/Measurer”.
- Go to “Chart –> Crosshair/Measurer” in the menu bar (for any trading instrument chart).
- Go to “Chart % –> Crosshair/Measurer” in the menu bar (for Chart %).
“Scroll to market” command
The command is only available when the “Scroll to market” mode is off . It allows a user to move quickly to the latest quotes.
To execute the command, do one of the following:
- Right-click in a chart window and press “Scroll to market”.
- Go to “Chart –> Scroll to market” in the menu bar.
Refreshing a chart window
To refresh a chart window, do one of the following:
- Right-click in a chart window and press “Refresh”.
- Go to “Chart –> Refresh” in the menu bar (for a trading instrument chart).
- Go to “Chart % –> Refresh” in the menu bar (for Chart %).
